Binding is tight, pages are clean and unmarked. . Zoar was founded by a group of German separatists who fled persecution because of their belief in the separation of church and state. They left their native Wrtemberg in 1817 and settled in Zoar, Ohio. The society survived until 1898, and the Zoar cabinet shop produced furniture for the entire time.
