A few volumes have a bit of shelfwear rubbing or a minor ding, but no real defects. Blue cloth bindings with gilt titles are tight, books appear unread. Two volumes had penciled owner information on free endpaper; these have been erased. A beautiful set, very nearly As New, complete from 1931 to 1975. . In four cases, two years were published as one volume, accounting for the discrepency in numbering. These were 1931-32,1944-45, 1952-53, and 1954-55. Thus this complete run accounts for 45 years in 41 volumes. An invaluable resource for anyone interested in Kansas or Midwest history, the set consists of 41 bound volumes of the individual quarterly issues for that year (or two years). A randomly chosen volume (vol. 26) contains articles on Kansas cowtown police officers and gunfighters; Cotton Whigs; business and agricultural conditions in Kansas 1871-1888; Kansa village locations according to McCoy's probable route; Wyandotte and the first "Exodusters" of 1879; Monument Station in Gove County; Kansas congressmen and reapportionment, and more. . 8vo - 8" to 9" tall.
