The author, Free, is a thinly disguised Abbie Hoffman. Hoffman was one of 1969's infamous Chicago Eight and Seven, and continued a life of protest until his death by apparent suicide in 1989. This is the first edition, and comes with a letter from the previous owner attesting to the authenticity of the signature.
