Dust jacket is first state, with the 16-line blurb on the front flap. Jacket has several small chips and short tears, some with associated creasing, including shallow chipping at top and bottom edge of spine area, titles are not affected. Blues and yellows of the spine have faded, light soil and rubbing, jacket now in fresh mylar sleeve. While rough, the jacket is still attractive; $4.00 price on front flap. The book is a stated first edition. The extreme edges of the boards are lightly sunned, as are the head and foot of the spine. The topstain is visible but faded in spots. Dust jacket has several large chips at edges, heavy rubbing, a few short tears, a couple of tiny holes and edge crumpling. Front panel is still bright and attractive, all text is present except the "The" of title. Jacket is still one piece, price of $3.00 is intact, jacket now protected by clear mylar sleeve. Book has seen similar hard times. Corners are worn through, spine and board extremities are faded, page ends are spotted, stained, and soiled.
